Trip to Italy
I’m back from my first big vacation in a while. Ten days in northern Italy! My parents and brother were already out there so I met up with them for the first day in Milan and then the parents returned home and
my brother, Jared, and I traveled around the rest of the time. Next stop was Lake Como. We stayed in the town of Varenna, did some hiking, saw the shortest river in Italy, rode on some ferries and visited other towns on the lake, and then headed down to Cinque Terre. There we stayed in Vernazza but hiked the trails to the four other towns. This was probably my favorite stop on the trip. Next we drove on to Tuscany and stopped in the towns of Volterra, Montalcino, and Pienza on our way to Siena. The next day we stopped in San Gimignano on the way to Florence, where we spent the last three days of the trip. I spent the last full day of the trip taking a train back to Milan with a group of nuns and then walking around Milan. All in all, it was a fantastic trip! I took lots of pictures and posted a bunch of them on here if you’d like to take a look.
